Mumbai Based Photographer Nayan Khanolkar Win BBC Best Wildlife Photographer Award

The 42-year-old Mumbai Based Photographer Nayan Khanolkar was awarded the prestigious BBC Urban Wildlife prize in London. He won the award for his picture “The Alley Cat”.
His pictures showing a silent leopard sitting under the yellow-bulb light between two mud-splattered homes. The leopard stares directly into the lens as it strolls. As much as 90 countries participated in the competition with more than 50,000 entries.

Another Indian photographer Ganesh H. Shankar win the award in the Birds’ category for his picture titled, ‘Eviction Attempt’.
